, painter | | Program: Treasury Section of Fine Arts | | Location: Lobby | | When the post office moved in 1968, the building was renovated for use as Greer City Hall. The mural was covered over with paneling--wall studs were literally nailed to the mural. In 2008, City Hall moved out and another round of renovations uncovered the mural for the first time in 40 years. | | No restoration. Nail holes are still visible in the mural. The lower right corner has a small amount of painted canvas removed, likely during renovations to the building in the past. | | | | |
